580P Auto Top Off System off Accessory

I'm really pleased with this wave maker. I am using it on my 20 gallon frag tank, and the lowest setting is perfect for churning the water through the entire aquarium. The settings and programmability are fantastic. Like most gyre's its very nice to be able to move each side individually to create indirect chaotic flow, which the corals thrive in. One thing I noticed was after I first installed it, there was a slight hum that came from the motor - I have noticed this on similar products, and like them, it disappears after a few days. The pump is completely silent. Definitely worth it at this price point. You can see the type of flow ( I have one end turned at a upward angle, and the other end turned downward, and as you can see, the GSP coral seems to really like the chaotic motion of this configuration. I got just a hair more polyp extention of several other types of coral as well. )

I've been running this tiny beast for almost a month. Let me say, I'm tickled. So is everything in my tank. I purchased it to replace two wave makers gone wild. I cleaned them, not for the first time but this time was completely unable to control flow, abusing everything in the aquarium for the few seconds they were on. I'd been intrigued by and considering a gyre for a while. My aquarium is 60L AIO. I was going to try a double but decided after the recent tsunami and highly angry hammer corals and traumatized fish I'd try the single and see how things went. This little unit is incredibly easy to set up. The magnet is herculean. Controls are intuitive, simple and instructions were easy to understand. I don't need to get out a manual to figure out what I want it to do with it. By adjusting the vent angle, flow strength and pattern I was able to achieve a better, more natural and clearly more pleasant to my in habitant environment with this one little unit. It's more peaceful to watch and Holy happy Pacific Pygmy Angelfish! Pissy face has been the domiciled mal-content since taking up residence in his cavern in the back of the tank. He lives there with a fire shrimp, a porcelain crab and several pom pom crabs who ignore him or punch him, I'm not sure which. Otherwise, his mission is to seek and destroy save my derpy green mandarin who can exists like a ghost in the same millimeter of space unbothered. Since swapping out the wave makers for the Fzone, Pissy Face has been dare I say, joyful? Instead of circling around and defending his cave or seeking and trying to destroy he moseys, goes on leisure strolls, visits other rocks and hangs out in random corners without menace. I might have been unknowingly making him insane and by proxy the rest of his tank mates with the wave makers. With the Fzone, peace has descended upon my mini ocean. Everything and everyone is happier. I used to always think my tank had little movement. Everyone had their territory and that was that. Now, everyone is everywhere and Pissy Face let's it happen.
