Impressed with the granular size, made planting easier than most other soils I’ve used. Seems to lock the rooms in instantly after pulling my tweezers up after planting. Love the dark black color of the soil which is a color that most soils don’t offer. The shipping was extremely fast, by the next day I had it at my door step. Packaging was unbeatable. Came in a nice container and inside the soil was bagged and sealed. Loved this idea because the bags I bought from other manufacturers tend to get crushed very easily whereas the Fzone soil did not! I will definitely be ordering more soon for my next projects! Very happy with this purchase. Once again, Fzone delivers!

This freshwater aqua soil is very good. I have been using FZone products for a while now and I am impressed with the quality of their products. They are top notch and they have the best customer service around. I appreciate the way this was packaged as well. All other soils come in plastic bags and are easily torn and make a mess. This comes in a solid plastic bucket that you can reuse or to keep the remaining soul fresh. I noticed that when I started using this brand of soil my plants have exploded in growth, so much that I have to constantly trim and remove pieces so the fish have room to swim. If there is a bad thing about this is that it works too well! Over the past year I’ve become a huge fan of Fzone products and I am excited when they release something new. I know the quality will be great and the price very competitive. This soil is perfect for most tropical fish but I will say this DO NOT USE THIS WITH GOLDFISH. They will ingest it and it will kill them. Goldfish need sand or large pebbles. In my goldfish tank I add this soil to mesh bags and then cut a small hole and put the plant roots in the bag and it works great. If you want beautiful plants you must use a high quality aqua-soil. This is the best in my opinion. I am including pictures of my two aquariums to show you what a difference this makes. If you are wanting to add this to an existing tank I would recommend taking all the fish out and doing a whole tank change. Also it recommends that you do a 50% water change within the first week of adding this. This will remove alkaline from the water and keep it in a more acidic range. I have snails that need high alkaline and hard water minerals so I recommend balancing the water before adding your plants or fish. You want to make sure you don’t shock your fish or plants so try to match your current water parameters when you switch over. I mainly watch the Nitrates, Ph, Kh and Gh. The beauty of a heavily planted tank is that you don’t have to worry about it often. I only do water changes every other month or so. It’s beautiful when you create a stable and thriving ecosystem. Enjoy your hobby! I also use CO2 in my aquariums which contribute to the growth of the plants. Plants are made from carbon and adding CO2 will make a huge difference. FZone makes co2 equipment as well, you should check it out.
