Honestly one of the nicest feeling and looking double tap connectors I've seen. I broke one of the connectors on my Eheim 2213, so this product couldn't have come at a better moment. Although the Eheim connectors are built for functionality and not necessarily for looks, this FZONE connector looks to be built for both. It's slightly cheaper than the Eheim double tap and is much more sturdy as it is made from aluminum and not plastic. The FZONE double tap also has an interesting connector where it utilizes a quick release collet which self locks once the two parts are pressed together. Honestly, I will probably swap all my double tap connectors to these FZONE ones solely based on the fact that they'll probably never break. I've broken too many connector necks trying to pry old filter tubing off them and have also had some become brittle due to old age. Plus these guys are amazing accent pieces on my already very nice planted tank set up. I miss the convenience of a double tap so I can remove/clean my glass lily pipes without needing to fear that the tubing will leak or having to re-prime my filter. Definitely recommend anyone with a canister filter to pick up a double tap connector and I will be picking more of these FZONE ones myself!

FZONE is usually typically pretty awesome and this is no exception. This is a really well made quick release connector. The aluminum alloy build feels strong and premium, way better than the plastic fittings I have used before. The one click connection is smooth and locks in tightly without leaks. The built in valve control is a great feature too. It turns easily and shuts off water flow cleanly during maintenance. Everything about it feels solid and looks professional. My only real complaint is that you only get one full connector set per order, which covers just one hose. Since every canister filter has both an intake and outflow, you’ll need to buy two full sets if you want to equip both lines. That bumps the cost up a bit and also means more connection points added into your system, which naturally creates more chances for wear or failure down the line. Still, as long as you’re aware of that going in, this is a high quality upgrade that makes filter cleaning faster and cleaner. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking to simplify their setup.
