Mini Dual Stage Co2 Regulator

I've been doing high-tech planted tanks for nearly a decade years now. When I bought this unit, I did a lot of research to find the best balance of price, quality, and size. Now that I have the FZone, I couldn't be happier, it is exactly what I was hoping for. Overall satisfaction with product: High Impression of build quality: High Product feels very solid. There is no plastic on it. I expect it will last for years to come. Impression of Needle Valve: High I’ve used a lot of needle valves over the years, and this one is the best I’ve used. It has fine grain control over the bubble count; and once set it does not seem to drift. I appreciated the inscription showing which direction to turn; as this is a frustrating guessing game on other regulators. Impression of Regulator: High Adjustment of the regulator is straightforward. Once set; it does not seem to gain or lose output pressure. The regulator is proportionally the right size compared to the CO2 bottle. It looks clean and professional. Impression of Bubble Counter: High It looks clean, professional, and exactly like what you want on your showcase tank. Reading the bubbles is straightforward and consistent. Impression of Pressure Gauge: High The gauge is clear and just the right size; any larger and it will look non-proportional, any smaller and it’ll be hard to read. Impression of Relay: High Simple, discrete, out of the way, and seems to do the job well. I appreciated the quick-disconnect near the relay; as my electrical strip/outlet is not easy to access. Impression of unboxing/accessories: High The packaging is what I would expect from a high-quality product. It includes a bottle wrench; which I was happy to have when I needed it. I was also pleased to see an extra set of o-rings was included; no manufacturer thinks to do this anymore. Impression of instructions: High Instructions were clear and I had no issues during installation. My only recommendation is to add some text stating that the ‘extra’ o-rings were not to be used initially. Impression of Customer Support : Very High I reached out to Fzone with a minor issue with my paintball adapter. They responded very quickly and were very personable. Even though the adaptor was working they still sent me a replacement shipped free of charge; zero-hassle. I was very impressed. Just try to get that kind of customer service or product quality commitment from the big guys! Overall, it’s hard to not see that FZone wants to be the best in the industry. If they continue producing products like this Triple and supporting their customers like they did for me today; I believe they will achieve it quickly.

Having been out of the hobby for over 16 years, things had changed quite a bit. I knew going back into it I wanted to implement live plants and to ensure they do well, I wanted to inject co2 to my setup. This regulator makes it easy to do so giving you a variety of tanks to use. Currently have it connected to a 20 gallon, planted tank. I am temporarily using 90 gram disposable co2 tanks with the intent to run a slightly larger paintball (refillable) tank. Being that the space we're using is kind of small, I wanted the option to use different small bottle types for discreteness (see pic above before implementing co2). It's nice to know I can use my welding bottles if I decide to move this regulator to a larger tank in the future as well as it accepts many different bottle types. Best used with Fzone's co2 tubing and diffuser which is what I purchased and set up as well. Hope this helps anyone just getting into co2!
